Disney is kicking off the holiday season with a heartwarming reminder of childhood wonder and imagination. Its new campaign, “Make Someone’s Holiday Magic,” directed by Taika Waititi and created by adam&eveDDB, tells a touching story that celebrates creativity, friendship, and the magic of believing.

The film follows a young girl whose doodle unexpectedly comes to life after Santa mistakes it for a Christmas wish. What begins as a simple drawing turns into a joyful adventure, as the girl and her animated friend share laughter, warmth, and a sense of pure wonder.
But there’s a twist — the doodle can’t speak. In a sweet and clever moment, the girl gives it a voice by borrowing a mouth from another toy. Voiced by Disney legend John Goodman, the doodle’s first words capture the emotional heart of the story: the beauty of connection and imagination.
Animation legend Eric Goldberg, known for bringing the Genie in Aladdin to life, helped shape the doodle’s expressive animation, blending Disney’s classic charm with modern creativity. Waititi, who also directed last year’s Emmy-nominated The Boy and the Octopus, brings his signature warmth and humor to this year’s story.
Titled “A Disney Holiday Short: Best Christmas Ever,” the film is now streaming on Disney+. Fans can also join the magic in New York’s Times Square, where their own doodles can come to life on a giant digital billboard — proving that imagination truly has no limits.
