Leo Burnett Indonesia Hosts Second ‘Portfolio Night’ in Jakarta

Leo Burnett Indonesia has brought Portfolio Night to Jakarta for the very first time — a vibrant evening where ambition met opportunity, and fresh creative minds connected with some of the industry’s most celebrated leaders. The event marked a major milestone for Indonesia’s young creative community, offering aspiring talents a rare chance to present their work face-to-face with the country’s top agency professionals.

Now in its 21st year globally, Portfolio Night is a one-of-a-kind initiative by The One Club for Creativity, held simultaneously in over 70 cities worldwide. The Jakarta edition — powered by Leo Burnett Indonesia — saw emerging designers, art directors, and copywriters receive hands-on feedback from leading creatives across agencies like Accenture Song, TBWA, Dentsu, FCB, MullenLowe Lintas, and Gojek, among others. Each portfolio review was more than just critique — it was mentorship in motion, sparking conversations about craft, courage, and the power of big ideas.

“For many of these young creatives, this was the first time they could sit across from so many industry icons in one room,” said Sony Nichani, CEO of Publicis Groupe Indonesia. “Our goal is to make Portfolio Night a catalyst for Indonesia’s creative evolution — a space where talent meets guidance, and dreams take shape.” Mudit Trevedi, Managing Director at Publicis Groupe Indonesia, echoed the sentiment, adding that the initiative aims to bridge the gap between young creative minds and the professional world, nurturing a new wave of world-class storytellers.

The night concluded with a celebration of talent and vision, as Sayid Muhammad was named the top scorer for his bold, unconventional ideas and inventive approach to design. Sayid will now represent Indonesia at the Portfolio Night All-Stars program in January 2025 — a virtual global competition leading to The One Club’s prestigious Creative Week in New York. “Sayid’s thinking is fearless and fresh,” said Ravi Shanker, Chief Creative Officer at Leo Burnett Indonesia. “He’s proof that Indonesia’s creative future is not just bright — it’s blazing.”
