Ely Buendia & Childhope Philippines Launch “Donate to View” Christmas Charity Film

This Christmas season, Childhope Philippines has partnered with OPM icon Ely Buendia and creative agency BBDO Guerrero to launch a groundbreaking “Donate to View” charity film based on Buendia’s song Bulaklak sa Buwa. The initiative introduces a new way of giving, where audiences unlock the full animated film through a small donation—turning every view into direct support for vulnerable children.

Directed by Joel Limchoc and produced in collaboration with FilmPabrika, The Acid House, Just Add Water Productions, and Hit Productions, the animated short brings the song’s message of hope to life. The film serves as the centerpiece of Childhope’s Christmas fundraising drive, blending music, storytelling, and purpose into a powerful call for action.

All proceeds from the campaign go directly to Childhope’s Street Education and Protection Program. These funds support essential initiatives such as KalyEskwela (school on the streets), KliniKalye (mobile clinics), and other programs focused on education, healthcare, and psychosocial care for street-connected children across the Philippines.

The project was first previewed during Childhope’s Musikalye celebration on November 29, in line with Children’s Month, where Ely Buendia shared a message of hope for the children the organization serves. It was later shown again at Buendia’s concert at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, further amplifying the campaign’s reach and emotional impact.

By transforming music into meaningful action, the “Donate to View” campaign highlights how creativity can drive social change. Donations can be made through Childhope’s official portal, where viewers can also watch the full animated film, with ongoing updates available across Childhope and Ely Buendia’s social media channels
